Andriesen, Nikki - Chief Financial Officer of Magna Black. Twin sister of Simone Andriesen. Adopted daughter of Ryan Andriesen.
Andriesen, Ryan - Founder, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Magna Worldwide. Adopted father of Nikki and Simone Andriesen. He ran away from home as a young boy and eventually founded one of the most powerful companies on Earth.
Andriesen, Simone - Vice President, Procurement of Magna Black. Twin sister of Nikki Andriesen. Adopted daughter of Ryan Andriesen.
Art, Mitchell - AKA "Bluespark." A notorious computer hacker as a child, he passed through several foster homes until Robert Maxwell enticed him to join his paramilitary group. Dated Jennifer Reston, and later, Claire Hayden.
Blanchard, Margot - One of the children in the care of Magna Black.
Castor, Cecilia - A logistics engineer at Magna Black. Assisted Robert Maxwell in an operation to rescue Claire Hayden from human traffickers in Hong Kong.
Clemens, Graham - AKA "The Carpathian." General Counsel of Magna Black, but also a mystical immortal with the ability to travel through time.
Convier, Arcturus - A notorious space pirate of the Non-Aligned Region in the late 21st century.
Convier, Jeremiah - Son of Arcturus Convier.
Convier, Lana - Wife of Arcturus Convier.
Cosimo - Once ran a cafe in Chicago. Once he died, he passed it on to his son, Jake.
Decarlos, Dean - Chief Technology Officer of Magna Black.
DuQuesne, Antoine - An FBI agent who infiltrated Magna Black while undercover.
Etrheim, Martie - A woman Robert Maxwell dated when he was in Peru. She was a doctor with Médecins Sans Frontières.
Firth, Jared - Chief Operations Officer of Magna Black. Robert Maxwell tried to kill him as a baby, but the Carpatian stopped him. Repeatedly.
Freeson, June - The girl Robert Maxwell would upend a million universes to save. In most known timelines, she perished in the opening hours of World War III. In at least one, she became a time-traveling fanatic known as the Timebender.
Gershwin, Molly - One of the children in the care of Magna Black.
Gulliver, Joan - Executive Vice President of Magna Black.
Hayden, Claire - One-time girlfriend of Mitchell Art. Was abducted by human traffickers while on vacation in Bali. Later perished in Hong Kong during a failed rescue attempt.
Hitchens-Maxwell, Arianne - AKA "Haven," the child of Robert Maxwell and Sharon Hitchens in one timeline. She would grow up to virtually annihilate everyone at Magna Black for unknown reasons. The Director of Chronal Affairs abducted her as a young girl to avert this, and raised her in the 500th century.
Hitchens, Sharon - One of the children in the care of Magna Black. In one timeline, she had a relationship with Robert Maxwell which produced a child named
Iona, Kalani - Jenna Starsmyth-Kennedy's husband.
Jake - Son of Cosimo. Runs Cosimo's Cafe. Brynn Morgan-Clark's boss.
Kirax - A particularly nasty Koraxian with delusions of grandeur. His father Shatax was killed by Robert Maxwell, an offense he took very personally, up to and including destroying Earth in at least one timeline.
Korath - AKA "Korat," "Gorat." Supreme leader of the Koraxians as of the late 21st century.
Kovals, Wang - Leader of the Anti-Vorchon Alliance, which opposed Vorchon settlement on Alpha Centauri Prime since it displaced human colonists.
Luthos - A battlemage from the realm of Arcadia. A known member of Robert Maxwell's paramilitary.
Mandelbaum, Gregor - Chief Executive Officer of Magna Black.
Maxwell, Richard - Robert Maxwell's older brother. Once joined a resistance movement against Koraxian occupation.
Maxwell, Robert - The guy all of this is about, or so he thinks. He may or may not be a time traveling cyborg from the late 21st century. Numerous versions of him are purported to exist. One version is the Director of Chronal Affairs in the 500th century.
Morgan-Clark, Brynn - AKA "BMC." A young woman employed as a barista at Cosimo's Cafe. She is also in the employ of Robert Maxwell, an old man living upstairs from the cafe. In interview-formatted chapters, she is typically the dialogue in bold.
Oolar - Led his Overlord-enslaved species to liberation, resulting in his people using him as their namesake: the Oolians.
Quispe, Huayna - Ignacio Quispe's eldest son.
Quispe, Ignacio - Peruvian mine owner. Once hired Robert Maxwell, Paul Rogen, and Carlisle Sagastume to protect his operations from the Shining Path. It did not end well.
Reston, Jennifer - Born Adrianne Berkeley. She suffered under an abusive father whom she eventually killed. In one timeline, she committed terrorist acts against the United States government. Robert Maxwell abducted her as a child, suppressed her memories, renamed her, and attempted to guide her to a different life path.
Rogen, Paul - Friend of Robert Maxwell. They worked together as mercenaries for a time.
Sagastume, Carlisle - AKA "Sag." Worked with Robert Maxwell and Paul Rogen as a mercenary in Peru. He died during an operation and his body was left behind.
Sagastume, Effie - Daughter of Carlisle Sagastume. She grew up not knowing what happened to her father.
Sawyer, Justin - One of the children in the care of Magna Black.
Shatax - A Koraxian fleet commander. Father of Kirax. Killed by Robert Maxwell in a convoluted time loop in which Kirax came back in time to avenge his father's death, thereby causing it.
Stak - An ancient Sikaren, privy to vast and complex forms of technology. One of the architects of the timeships. Almost always found with his companion, Vral.
Star, Benny - One of the children in the care of Magna Black.
Starsmyth-Kennedy, Gloria - Wife of Jenna Starsmyth-Kennedy after Jenna retired from the Interstellar Operative Navy.
Starsmyth-Kennedy, Jenna - Robert Maxwell's tactical officer in the late 21st century.
Taki - A warrior from the realm of Arcadia. A known member of Robert Maxwell's paramilitary.
Theo - An alien of the Darrex species. Formerly enslaved by the Koraxians, Theo joined up with the Conviers to do space piracy.
Titus, Mark - A childhood frenemy of Robert Maxwell. Once dated June Freeson. Would like nothing more than to erase Robert Maxwell from existence. Orchestrated a massacre of a significant number of Magna Black staff on December 31, 1999.
Van Impe, Ira - Chief Information Officer of Magna Black.
Vral - An ancient Sikaren, privy to vast and complex forms of technology. One of the architects of the timeships. Almost always found with his companion, Stak.
Xevach, Fabian - Senior Vice President, Strategy of Magna Black.
